THE WALK

Mythological Fictions II

Poetic deconstruction · Have a wander

When man passes away

to the sound of music,

the gods tilt destinies.

The sea is at this moment the living

image of the universe,

upon the shoulders of giants.

We speak beneath the sunlight, you and I,

your freedom begins where another's ends, I tell you.

The gods are, tenacious.

Bricks of a temple,

constantly sparking,

from our dances.

The one who skirted the cliffs,

memory dwelling in the exact place

where myths are seen folding into universes.

When you die, my gods will die

for I walk the coastal path

of the first ocean.

The first Eurynome says:

Gods do not die, they merely transform,

the gods tilt every scale.

And we answer questions

with well-formed formulas

you and I, soul,

The folds of the universe within myths,

they too shall die.

The human mind cannot step outside itself to view the universe from without.

Myths, philosophy and mathematics are attempts to do so, each with its own tools.

Contemporary mathematics has widened the reach enormously, yet has not removed the limit.

What we call knowledge of the universe is, in truth, knowledge of the interaction

between the universe and our mind, mediated by formal and cultural languages.

Zetes.

The gods are folds, folds

of an original hermaphrodite sea

that folds matter

and which matter curves in turn.

Weaving is the trade of the cosmos.

Weaving waves across the expanse.

In destiny the flower of time;

in the energy of destiny the pull

of converging lines.

Almost like a flower, buds

of multiplicities and unities;

with the energy of destiny, with the joy

of the path leading me to death,

upon my brow I shall always wear that flower.

Origin and not nothingness.

Essence, darkness, consciousness.

And consciousness, science of gods born in noise,

of a divine universe amidst the sacred folds of the skull,

amalgams of suspected, suspicious destinies.

Poem, of my life and of death still alien to me,

always a copy of a copy of another copy.

Unique and copy, for the origin carries within itself

its very own replicating matter.

Gods come, gods go,

beside every field of every sea.

Field, sea and woods of likenesses,

of men and women.

They too must have

their heads, their legs,

their claws and their hungry jaws.

The gods are the seas of non-nothings

and configurations;

nothings that are symmetries of matter and antimatter.

Indefinable substance dancing in the vast ether.

Eurynome dancing the dance to the rhythm of Higgs.

Eurynome inflated and seduced by the first Boreas.

As background, the dark, dark matter,

stage of the first great love

the cosmic copulation giving birth to

Transformation-SU(2) and Light-U(1),

of the first cosmic egg.

In destiny the flower;

in the energy of destiny

almost a flower, bud

of the multiple and the singular.

With the energy of destiny,

with the joy of the path, upon my brow

I shall wear that flower on the day of my death, soul.

The crystal repeats; the atom works.

If there are two, there are three.

It is not a part, it is a relationship.

The universe is spiral, not circular,

Primordial unity unfolds into multiplicity

it does not occupy a place, it performs a function.

In the atom, each electron is an organ:

it ought to be hermaphrodite.

The new unity integrating forces, matter and...

If there is one, there are two.

integrating its difference without abolishing it.

The universe is a fold.

The crystal is frozen geometry. The atom is an entity.

Each fold opens the possibility of a new unfolding.

through the breaking of symmetries.

It is not in space, it inhabits the field.

That multiplicity folds back into

spacetime. But the process does not end there.

In the crystal, each atom is a stone.

Recursive, substantiality.

Otherwise it is not the universe.

New totalities through unification.

Each level is a fold of the previous one,

if there are two, there are three.

After the great powers Gravity, and inflation,

all things were born, and on planet Earth there was

life, and man and woman came to pass.

Some say woman was born of man, but that is quite simply not true.

Women and men know of pain.

And within the spirits of men and women dwell the gods of destiny.

And these are:

Soul //Learning, Error, JealousyEnvy, Yearning, Obstinacy, Pleasure, Pain//

Logos

The penultimate great fold was pain

before the logos and after the soul.

Man is not the sun.

He is the late-blooming flower of the cosmos.

And the logos is not the light of the beginning.

It is the scent of the end.

With the soul there also came

folly, jealousy, envy,

crime, ignorance;

the whole legion of shadowy gods

that bar the soul from reaching

the next fold, the overman,

who shall be the one to overcome the machine.

In destiny the flower;

in the energy of destiny

almost a flower, bud

of the multiple and the singular.

With the energy of destiny,

with the joy of the path, upon my brow

I shall wear that flower on the day of my death, soul.

Who swayed Eurynome's dance?

Hermaphrodite gravity

holding within its womb the expansion

that makes her dance to its pulse

of space and time.

Self-fertilised egg.

Snail.

Eurynome the Mother Goddess,

born and dying from

her very own ethereal substances.

Weaving veils and creating folds,

which you and I are, soul.

The seas of fields are just that:

Fire: energy, fluctuation, change.

Ever-living: never still, always active.

According to measure: physical laws, symmetries, couplings.

Attunements to Heraclitus.

Transformation,
the words into mosaic,
the mosaic into sound.

THRESHOLD 1

Transformation,
the words into a swarm,
the swarm into sound.

THRESHOLD 2

Acebuch reinterprets.
Compositions with mosaics.

OTHER PATHS

The original piece.
The poem just as it was conceived.
An unbroken reading.

SCORE I

Another turn.
Distilled to a single drop of a poem.
Take it as a bit of an oracle.
